Chuck's first union job was with INCO in Thompson. Two days after he started working for the company, a strike began - and lasted almost two months. Chuck recalls that was when "I started to become aware of what a union was all about, about its ability to help working people."

Chuck was on the staff of the United Food and Commercial Workers for 29 years. During that time, he worked with local unions in Manitoba and Ontario, and also worked in the UFCW national office. His duties included servicing the membership, organizing, negotiations, and eight years as president and chief executive officer with UFCW Local 206 in Kitchener. Of the jobs he did through the years, Chuck says he enjoyed negotiating the most.

"A negotiator has a tremendous impact on the economic life of union members. Doing that gave me a lot of personal satisfaction."

Since July, 2000, Chuck has used his negotiating skills to obtain savings and discounts for union members across Canada. How to contact Chuck.
